Follow these easy steps to get your Electrolux FAVORIT 86080 Vi Dishwasher up and running in no time.
The water softener must be set manually and electronically to avoid scale deposits on the dishes and in the dishwasher. To set it manually, open the dishwasher door, remove the lower basket, and turn the water hardness dial on the left wall of the dishwasher interior to the appropriate setting based on your water hardness level. For electronic setting, follow the instructions specific to your model.
Before using the dishwasher for the first time, and if not using 3in1 detergent, fill the salt dispenser with special salt. Open the door, remove the lower basket, and unscrew the lid on the salt dispenser by turning it anti-clockwise. Fill the dispenser with water only the first time, add special salt, clean any remnants, and then screw the lid back on clockwise. Run a dishwashing cycle to wash away any spilled salt water and salt crystals.
Before the first use and when the rinse aid control indicator is illuminated, fill up with rinse aid to ensure smear-free, gleaming dishes and clear glasses. Locate the rinse aid dispenser, open the lid, and fill it with rinse aid until the indicator shows it is full. Close the lid securely.
Ensure the dishwasher is transported upright to prevent salt water leakage. Before using for the first time, check for any transport damages. Plug the mains plug into a correctly installed shockproof socket. Adjust the threaded feet to compensate for floor unevenness and match the appliance height to surrounding units. Ensure the drain hose, inlet hose, and mains cable are not kinked or crushed when positioning the dishwasher. Secure the dishwasher to the work surface or adjoining units.
Before loading dishes, switch the water softener to the highest setting and perform up to three normal cycles without any dishes. Then, adjust the water softener to match your local water hardness level.
